At LMT Safety Town local four and five year
olds can learn vital safety lessons about
traffic and pedestrian safety, poison, guns,
animal, water, fire, strangers, bicycle,
playground, school bus safety and much
more in a age appropriate way. Our Safety
Town kids learn about pedestrian and road
safety hands on in a child-sized town with
minature buildings, kiddie pedal cars, street
signs, crosswalks, working traffic lights and
railroad crossings. Through the additional
power of a classroom program, lead by certified teachers and local uniformed personnel, combined with the hands on learning experiences during our classroom instruction and in our miniature town, your kids can learn safety lessons that they will remember for a life time.
The goal of LMT Safety Town, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is to provide our local children with safety-related lessons in a fun, kid-friendly way. We do this through classroom instruction taught by certified teachers and reinforced by teen volunteers, hands on practice, songs and crafts, and presentations by community partners such as local and state police, fire rescue, and the American Red Cross. LMT Safety Town makes safety fun (really!) and memorable. Your children will be reciting LMT Safety Town songs, rhymes, and lessons for years to come.
Please check out our session dates and registration information to learn how to register your child for a week of fun and safety! Registration for LMT Safety Town 2010 kicks of April 1st. We fill up fast so be sure to register as soon as possible from April 1st on to ensure your spot.
