Imagine being a four or five year old and having a child-sized town complete with miniature buildings, kiddie cars, street signs, crosswalks, working traffic lights and railroad crossings. Now further imagine that in this town our community children could learn vital safety lessons like traffic and pedestrian safety, poison, animal, water, fire, strangers, bicycle, playground, school bus safety and much
more. Imagine the power of a classroom program with hands-on learning experience under the guidance of a certified teacher and uniformed personnel.
The goal of LMT Safety Town, a non-proft 501(c)3 organization, is to provide your children with safety-related lessons in a fun, kid-friendly way. We do this through classroom instruction taught by certified teachers and reinforced by teen volunteers, hands on practice, songs and crafts, and presentations by community partners such as police, fire rescue, and the American Red Cross. LMT Safety Town makes safety fun (really!) and memorable. Your children will be reciting LMT Safety Town ditties for years to come.
